DOMESTIC SECURITY
Geca is leader since more
than 15 years in the design and realization of gas leak
domestic detectors, and GAMMA is the result of this experience
„on field” of the more complete line of gas
leak detectors for Methane, LPG and CO. The detectors of
GAMMA series advice the user with the signal of the internal
siren when the gas concentration in the ambient should go
over the fixed threshold, and they can order the closing
of an electrovalve at 230 Vac (N.O. or N.C.) or 12 Vdc N.O.
or the activation of other electrical loads. The Centrals
of GAMMA series have the necessary electronics to detect
the gas leak and to command the closing of the electrovalve;
furthermore, they can be connected to remote detectors of
any gas and they can be also connected to stopper feeders.
The remote detectors are connected to the central in an
unlimited number and they inform the central of eventual
gas leaks.
General characteristic
The instrument HAS TO BE INSTALLED:
- The detector Life for methane at a maximum distance of
30 cm from the ceilling; the detector Life for LPG at a
maximum distance of 30 cm from the floor.
- It should be fixed at a distance of 1 - 4 m from the gas
device (kitchen boiler etc.). AVOID INSTALLING:
- Directly over the sink or the gas device.
- In small rooms where alcohol, ammonia, spray bottles of
gas or other substances with volatile solvents are used.
- Near the walls or obstacles that can stop the gas flow
from the device to the detector, or near to exhausters or
fans that can divert the air flow.
- In environments in which the temperature is over 40ºC
or under -5ºC.
- In environments with a high level of humidity or vapours.
Gas leak detector
for recessed installation (LIFE)
LIFE is a gas leak detector for recessed installation.
This detector has been manufactured according to
the best technologies and is provided with a sophisticated
self-diagnosis system to signal possible anomalies.
The detector can also be connected to a gas electrovalve.
In danger conditions the electrovalve is activated
and simultaneously an acoustic signal is activated.
Power supply: 230 Vac (-15/+10%). Absorbtion: 4,5
VA. Sensor: catalytic. Threshold: 10% LEL. Output
relay: switching contacts 3 A 250 Vac. Protection:
IP42.
Single zone gas leaks
detector with optical-acoustic alarm (GAMMA 646C)
For Methan and LPG with „catalytic sensor”
and microprocessor
Power supply: 230 Vac 50-60 Hz (also available as
12 Vdc). Absorbtion: 20 mA max. (230 Vac). Alarm:
optical (red led) and acoustic (buzzer 85 dB/1 m).
Protection class: IP42. Sizes: 138 × 85 ×
44 mm. Weight: ca. 300 g.
Gas leaks detector
with optical-acoustic alarm and relay control (GAMMA
652-O)
GAMMA 652-O/M and GAMMA 652-O/G detectors designed
for methane and LPG warn with optical and acoustic
signals the presence of the gas in the environment.
They are designed to work as gas detectors with
relay exit. They are calibrated to detect gas over
10% of the LEL (Low Explosion Limit), this threshold
can be modified according to the environment conditions
but it should not go over 15% LEL during the first
4 working years; after this period the instrument
has to be substituted. Power supply: 230 Vac 50-60
Hz. Absorbtion: 20 mA max. (230 Vac). Protection:
IP42. Sizes: 138 × 85 × 44 mm. Weight:
ca. 300 g.
Central Unit with
gas leaks detector inside with optical-acoustic
alarm and relay control (GAMMA 654-O)
For Methan and LPG with catalytic sensors Attention:
The actual detectors with catalytic sensor are in
no case compatible with the detectors of the previous
series (without "C" or "O" mark) because they have
a semiconductor sensor. Power supply: 230 Vac 50-60
Hz or 12 Vdc. Absorbtion: 20 mA max. at 230 Vac.
Possibility to connect an unlimited number of Remote
Detectors GAMMA 656C. Possibility to connect a Back-up
power supply PS series. Protection: IP42. Sizes:
138 × 85 × 44 mm.
Remote gas leaks
detector with optical-acoustic alarm (GAMMA 656C)
Power supply: 230 Vac 50-60 Hz or 12 Vdc. Absorbtion:
20 mA max at 230Vac. Possibility to connect a Back-up
power supply PS series. Protection class: IP42.
Sizes: 138 × 85 × 44 mm.
Single zone gas leak
detector with optical-acoustic alarm for CO (GAMMA
646CO)
This device is only to be used for the detection
of carbon monoxide (CO). Carbon monoxide is a very
poisonous, colourless gas without smell, as result
of a poor combustion. CO´s highly poisonous
nature means that its presence, even in low concentrations,
may cause nausea, cephalea and loss of counsciousness
after prolonged exposure. Power supply: 230 Vac
50-60 Hz (also available as 12 Vdc). Absorbtion:
20 mA max. at 230 Vac. Alarm: optical (red led)
and acoustic (buzzer 85 dB/1 m). Protection class:
IP42. Sizes: 138 × 85 × 44 mm. Weight:
ca. 300 g.
Gas leaks detector
with optical-acoustic alarm and relay control for
CO (GAMMA 652CO)
Power supply: 230 Vac 50-60 Hz. Absorbtion: 20
mA max. at 230 Vac. Alarm: optical (red led), acoustic
(buzzer 85 dB/1 m) and relay control 2,5 (1,2) A.
Protection class: IP42. Sizes: 138 × 85 ×
44 mm. Weight: ca. 300 g.
Detectors with acoustic
alarm for CO (SE 103 SC)
These detectors are characterized by a semiconductor
sensor controlled by an electric circuit particularly
sensitive to carbon monoxide. When the carbon monoxide
concentration in the environment exceeds the relevant
set value, this detector emits an acoustic signal
and switches the red alarm LED on. When the danger
conditions come to an end the normal functioning
automatically starts. Possible malfunction gets
signalled by a yellow LED. Power supply: 230 Vac
(-15/+10%). Absorbtion: 2 VA. Sensor: semiconductor.
Threshold: 100 ppm. Protection class: IP40. Installation:
onto the wall, connected to a socket. Sizes: 57
× 96 × 50 mm.
Portable gas leaks
detector
SE151NM. Portable gas leaks detector calibrated
for methane and LPG. In clear air, gives one pulse
per second. As soon as the air surrounding the sensor
is polluted the rate of the pulses will increase
untill it becomes continuous indicating a gas leakage.
Sensibility: 20 ppm methane. Power supply: 4 ×
1,5 V batteries. Case: 160 × 210 × 41
mm.
SE155. Its technical specifications are similar
to SE151 model, but with internal sensor powered
by a 9 V cell with 10 hours standard life. A led
bar shows the methane/LPG concentration. It is supplied
in a nylon case. Sensibility: 20 ppm methane. Power
supply: 9 V. Case: 55 × 235 × 37 mm.
